Pierogi with Poppy
 
 
Ingredients
  • 500 g dough
  • 300 g poppy
  • 350 ml milk
  • 100 g sugar
For decoration
  • 100 g butter
Instructions
  1. Rinse well the poppy
  2. Mince 2-3 times through a meat grinder or mash by blender
  3. Put the poppies into a saucepan, add sugar and pour the milk
  4. Cook at medium heat, stirring constantly until complete evaporation of milk
  5. Divide dough into 2-3 equal parts, roll out each piece into a circle of 1-1.5 mm thick
  6. Cut out circles of dough with a round glass
  7. Fill each circle with stuffing and close up
  8. Put ready-made pierogi on a floured surface
  9. Cook the pierogi in salted boiling water
  10. Cook until they come to surface, approximately for 5-7 minutes
  11. Put ready-made pierogi into a bowl and pour with butter oil. Bon appétit!
Notes
There is another way to cook poppy. Cover the saucepan with foil and make 5-6 holes.
Bake at 180 degrees until complete evaporation of milk. Chill the poppies.
