British Carrot Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • Flour - 200 g
  • Cinnamon - ½ teaspoon
  • Baking powder - ½ teaspoon
  • Soda - 1 teaspoon
  • Carrot (one big) - 259 g
  • Sugar - 200 g
  • Olive oil (or another type of oil) - 150 ml
  • 2 Eggs
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 Orange
Instructions
  1. Heat up an oven to 170°С (338°F).
  2. Combine dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, soda and cinnamon.
  3. Peel and grate the carrot, combine with half of flour-cinnamon mixture.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip sugar with olive oil in a blender until thoroughly combined.
  5. Add egg, pinch of salt and the remaining flour.
  6. Whip.
  7. Add carrot mixture and the remaining egg, and once again whip thoroughly with blender.
  8. Cover casserole dish with butter.
  9. Pour dough into it and put in the oven, bake for 30-50 minutes, depending on the casserole dish.
  10. Check the condition with a wooden pick.
