British Carrot Cake Recipe

- Flour - 200 g
- Cinnamon - ½ teaspoon
- Baking powder - ½ teaspoon
- Soda - 1 teaspoon
- Carrot (one big) - 259 g
- Sugar - 200 g
- Olive oil (or another type of oil) - 150 ml
- 2 Eggs
- Pinch of salt
- 1 Orange
- Heat up an oven to 170°С (338°F).
- Combine dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, soda and cinnamon.
- Peel and grate the carrot, combine with half of flour-cinnamon mixture.
- In a separate bowl, whip sugar with olive oil in a blender until thoroughly combined.
- Add egg, pinch of salt and the remaining flour.
- Whip.
- Add carrot mixture and the remaining egg, and once again whip thoroughly with blender.
- Cover casserole dish with butter.
- Pour dough into it and put in the oven, bake for 30-50 minutes, depending on the casserole dish.
- Check the condition with a wooden pick.
