I’ve devoted my every spare moment to my favourite blog and project Food’n’Chef these past two weeks. And I must admit, this is not an easy task.

Just try, for example, to fish out a recipe of an old traditional dish from a Chinese chef who doesn’t speak English. Do you think, it’s that simple?

Or get through to Italian Michelin-starred Chef, who at this precise moment is rushing around some desert, as if he had been stung, learning Beduins’ gastronomic traditions in Africa to find inspiration…

Currently I’ve got 80 chefs all over the world in my Food’n’Chef project: from those who haven’t been spoiled by tourists yet (but cooking really great, believe me..) to the masters with 3 Michelin stars.

And the coolest thing is shooting, of course. And then… And then all this paperwork starts. I need to take interview, to get a recipe out of a chef, to clarify the interview, to clarify the recipe… Oh, it’s impossible to clarify any of this, ’cause the chef is meditating among penguins somewhere in Antarctic.

And another chef has sent the wrong recipe. The recipe tells how to cook prawns, although there’s fois gras in the photo.

And this is only a small part of the adventures I face everyday. And I couldn’t but think that all chefs are extremely absent-minded. Until I met Yan – an author of today’s recipe.

People say: ‘Real men don’t talk too much’. And this is about Yan. He promised to send interview by 14:00 on Saturday. And he did it. Together with recipes.

Yan made me believe in chefs. And this is really great.

In this regard, I’d like to offer to cook his strawberry gazpacho. :)
